Safe Space

How can I make the after-diagnosis experience less painful while guiding patients to access to medical information?

Safe Space

"Safe Space" is a data driven application that enables a better communication and understanding between patients and doctors in a connected cloud system. I created the final web application prototype during the 2days intense Health Hackathon by collaborating with Javiera Paz Arenas and Caroline Brustowicz (from Parsons MFA Transdisciplinary Design and Product Design.) In Hack Health 2016, Our team member presented the project to industry experts in healthcare systems, information technology, data visualization, and ethnography; and global firms Cognizant Digital Works, ReD Associates, and Idea Couture. Hack Health was the New School funded hackathon to re-imagine Health, Healthcare, and digital solutions Friday through Sunday, Oct 21-23.

Brainstorming with Transdisciplinarity Design, Product Design and Design Management students, discussing how to make a better healthcare service for the future.
Our design process was guided by The New School faculty members and experts in the healthcare and design industry including Frog Design, Cognizant, Cognizant Digital Works, ReD Associates, and Idea Couture.

The 2-days intense ideation process from Friday to Sunday was an amazing learning experience for me to deeply dig into design process as well as how to collaborate people from different disciplines outside of my major because I have often more focused on dealing with technological issues rather than developing theoretical framework in Design and Technology program.
